Sorry for the bad pictures, I didnt want to bother them too much. Boris was a bit nervous to start with whilst the girls went off to investigate, but he is now swimming around with one of the females looking much happier.

Awww.... my favourite fish again

They look nice and round. Look forward to more pics of your puffs :) Mine always run a mile when they see my camera :/

Thanks everyone, we are all abit smitten with our DPs today, they are such little cuties, I left about 6 small snails in the tank for them to help them feel happy when they arrived & we watched them last night hunting them, didnt go to bed till far too late, did feel a little sorry for the snails.

I am thinking I may have the sexes wrong, but they are still so small, I guess it will be a while before they are mature enough to tell.

The one I have named Boris may well be a girl? It does have a little pale orange in its tail, does this mean it isnt a DP? The picture makes it look alot darker than in real life.

They arent really a fan of the frozen bloodworm, they watched & hunted as I put them in this morning, but as soon as they hit the floor they lost interest, so going to have to hunt out some live supplies today.

Boris looks like a male to me. If it has wrinkles then it's definitely a male. However, one of your girlies (one on the right in your pic) looks like a male. It's hard to tell since it's a blurry pic and depends on how old they are too.

They are DPs as far as I can tell LOL. DPs do get a red/orange tinge on their fins and tails especially males.

It's hard to train them to eat certain food. They are so stubborn  Mine are anyway  I use a pipette and hold the frozen bloodworms and wrigle a bit until they take it. Starving tactic (a couple of days) works ;)

Thank you, he definately has the worried look to his eyes with lots of wrinkles behind bless him. He is quite shy, where as the other two swim straight over to you when they see you. They have taken a few bloodworm from my tweezers a few minutes ago if I held them & waved them around.

How often should I feed them? They are only taking one or two bloodworm at a time, should I feed them more often?

Thank you for taking the time to reply, I have read everything I could find but I'm a worrier & like to know I am doing the best I can for them.

Strangely, my males are more frightened of the camera than the girls. I wonder why males are so shy

If they are taking one or two worms at a time, you can feed them twice a day. Or, try leave for 10-15 minutes and come back and try again to see if they will take more. As long as they don't gorge themselves to a bulge. Most keepers feed once a day. Feeding them is just so entertaining and enjoyable :D

Awww.... so cute  He looks a bit sleepy still  I love the look of concentration on their faces
when hunting, crossed eyes and all.

Happy DP'ing :D
