or hassle as she's known when she's being an overactive pup!!

this is Hazel my big sisters lurcher x puppy. she's such a friendly doggy she's lovely. she looks skinny but it's just cos of her age and breed, she's growing so fast at the moment. she eats like a horse and her legs are pure muscle.

a lurcher is a breed by itself, but she's not pure bred, she's a working farm dog bred specifically to do that. got 4 different breeds in her but i can't remember what the other three are. the 'x' just means crossed with

LOL... yeah, I knew the "x" meant a cross, but never heard of lurcher. Cool dog.

very nice dog, i have aneighbour with a lurcherx that has gone the other way - more like a wel stocked lab!
i agree with lynda, does look like there could be irish wolfhound in the mix

xXx

a lurcher is a cross between a sight hound (eg greyhound) and another breed, they come in loads of shapes and sizes.

lovely dog, love lurchers, way too many in rescue centres (but that can be said about lots of dogs)

thanks everyone, i can understand why lots end up in rescue centres sadly. think it's the sort of dog people would think would be 'cool' to have then realise they take a lot of hard work and decide to dump them.

thankfully you can rest assured for hazel at least this won't happen and she's got a fantastic home and her mummy takes very good care of her.

she's a gorgeous dog, got a fantastic temprement, she's been bought up round loads of other dogs so she's so well behaved with them, and she's half way through her training for general 'sit, stay, come' type stuff and is learning fast.

:good:

She's a babe  they have such lovely temperaments.

For the life of me I simply do not understand why so many of them end up for rehoming.

lurchers are beautiful see them all the time where i live they are quite popular :)

aye, beautiful dog, i'm tempted by one myself after we move house, long way off yet though
