Medusa Pleco

I just got this guy a few days ago and hes just started comming out from under his wood now. I think hes pretty neat looking, although he looks like hes covered in ICK, its just his markings

Im also working on getting him some moon lights and smoother gravel but yesterday when I went they only had black in this ruffer stuff that I have now so I need to wait till the very smooth black comes in. Hopefully he'll be fine on the ruffer stuff for a week or so.

Yes, my first thought too was that it's definitely not a medusa plec.
Without a capture location it's going to be nearon impossible to ID, but care shoud be the same for any Ancistrus. Based on the facial bristles, it looks like a male. Did they have any more? You might want to try and get yourself a female which should only have bristles around the edge of the mouth.
