Hi All, Can you tell me if Medication can raise the Nitrate level's in your tank please?, I put a dose of Disease Clear in my tank a few day'a ago when one of my fish died it looked like it had slime disease as it was full of slime my level's are normally very good with no Nitrite or Ammonia and just slight Nitrate but I did a test this morning and the Nitrate level was quite high as far as I could tell on the colour chart it was between 20 and 50 I know that is a bit vauge but I hate the colour chart system usually the water in the test tube hardly changes colour at all. I have done a big water change 27 gallon's (Nine three gallon bucket's) out of a 44 Gallon tank so I will do another test later to see if the level of nitrate has come down.
