What is MethyBlu?
What is MethyBlu used for?
When is MethyBlu used?
Does it stain glass? Acrylic?
Can it be used as preventative on healthy fish if left alone for a long weekend?

Please also provide any information on questions about MethyBlu I may have left out. Thanx. :)

Methylene Blue? That's good stuff. It will stain every porous thing in your tanks. It even cured ick for me. It turns the water so dark blue it can be hard to see the fish, but it's good stuff. It's mainly for fungal infections. Doesn't harm snails. I have rocks that turned blue from it,tho. You can treat your fish for a long weekend with it. You can use it for fungal prevention with fish eggs,it will stain the infertile eggs blue. I think I remembered everything. If you have a specific question other than what I mentioned just ask. It's really good stuff. :)

Isn't this the blue stuff they use when transporting bettas? I see it when they open up the boxes and the bettas are in these little bags with light blue water. One PETCO employee told me it wasn't MethyBlu but some type of oxygen pill that turns the water blue.

I think someone at TFF said that the blue water was from some stress coat/ water conditioner so that the bettas are less stressed when they travel. I could be wrong though :/

Yes I do believe blue water they use to ship fish is the oxygen/stress coat treatment. Kind of like bag buddy tablets, those turn the water blue and mildly sedate, add oxygen and lower the stress for shipping. I know the blue water they use to store nets in is methylene blue.
