Mean Cherry Barb

I feed my Corys sinking Omega One Shrimp Pellets and my corys LOVE it, but so does my male Cherry Barb, he even has gone to the point of when I'm feeding them, he actually chases all the corys away (even though there are 6 of them and they are twice his size!) and hogs the huge pellet to himself! What should I do, I dont have any other tanks at the moment, I might get a 10 gallon soon, but I would still need to cycle it.

Other than feeding time, he is really nice!

how many cherry barbs do you have?
can you just feed at different places in the tank?

I have 1 Female Cherry Barb and 1 Male, I tryed to feed in the Cories own little corner, and so far it is working okay...

yah try breaking that piece up. a small piece in first for the cherry barb. then the larger chunk for the cories.

I put two pieces in one time, and some of my cories kept going to the Cherry Barb's piece, and he kept chasing them away, but eventually I think they found their own piece in the place that the corys like to hide out during day time. I try to put one piece on the opposite side of the Cory's hang out.

But anyway through all my efforts the Corys still get close the the hungry barb!
