just got back from hols in greece and saw some nice stuff in the sea, but also some horrific stuff in the shops such as expanded pufferfish as souveniers and also dried seahorses by the dozen all real! made me sick to think people would do this to these creatures!
Anyway i bought a deltec mc500 seond hand and just started it up for 30 secs and it seemed quite noisy (not horrendous but a wirr) is this normal and should it quiten once bedded in? apparently it does have the silencer extra on ittt....
also can one buy the improved needle wheel on its own to upgrade my skimmer? not that i think i need it on my 280L system,(once lr has displased etc, tank and sump volume = 330L
