Vieltailed oscars won't be easy to get in petstores or LFS.....maybe a breeder could help you.............I had once saw long tailed Latino oscar cichlid in petstore. but it was in a bad health

Good luck in finding one, but long finned Oscar's are line bred not hybrids.

seen them once and i hope never to see them again. Its just as ridiculous as breeding long finned serpea tetras, hell we'll have long finned tiger barbs next!! Why on earth breed long finned variations of nippy, territorial and aggressive fish?? They didnt even look very nice, they just looked daft.

not all are line bred.
some just show up outta regular batches.
i bought 1 long fin oscar in perfect health from one my my local fish store in a batch of regular oscars.
it was around 3 inch.
they saw it long tail after i have picked and said oh a butter fly oscar in the regular batch and sold it to me for the same price as normal oscar.
the price was $3 per oscar.

Oscar are so common they are getting sold at so cheap a price, a little kid with a dollar or two could buy one and them have it kept in a 10 USG for life. Also, what's the point of a LF Oscar? You can't keep it with pther fish cause it will be totured by them and it's more prone to fin rot.
