Maximum Number Of Danios In A 22 Gallon?

What would be the maximum number of danios you would put in a 22 US gallon (83 liter) cube shaped tank? Since danios are an active fish - OK, they're spazoids , and the tank is a non-traditional shape, I'm not sure how many would be a good fit.

Depends on which type of danios (do you have a particular species in mind?) and what other stock you have or plan to keep in that tank

Wow wow wee wah, I got a very nice response from a glorious friend of Borat!

I'm doing some research for a friend who likes danios. I helped him cycle the tank and as of now he has 3 pearl and 3 long-fin leopard danios. He wants to have a danio only tank with no giants.

Ok, as long as he doesn't intend to have any giants you can use the one inch per gallon rule.
I know this is ignored by many modern aquarists but it can still be applied to small species.
As your friend is looking at fish that will typically have an adult size of 2 inches, my maths says that's 11 fish. And in my opinion, danios always look better in a decent shoal.

I have 5 leopard danios in a tank with 6 other large fish eg rainbows, Gudgeons and Tetras
they all are fine living with each other.

I think you could fit 11-13 leopard or zebra danios.
