I have a 30 gallon tank with a 36" top and bulb. The current bulb is 30W-T8. Do they sell larger wattage bulbs or am I stuck with this size? I'm trying to increase the light in my tank for plants. The current top does have a reflector built into the light casing.

Thanks for the assistance.

T5's will give you better growth as they are higher intensity.

Scott, for normal output flourescents, you are at max wattage. The easiest thing to do is add another bulb.

You can go to the hardware and get an electronic ballast and wire up 2 to 4 bulbs in your hood, A lighting upgrade is one you will never regret.

haven't seen you in a while great lakes! wb! :D
