Okay so I currently have 5 C. Trilineatus. One is considerably larger than the others, and is also much darker. The maze design on the large one is also completely connected. The other cories are light, sandy brown and have the maze-like design, but it is somewhat broken up.

SO I have narrowed it down to three possibilities.

1. The large cory is mature and the others are juveniles and they will get darker, larger and their design will connect. (which is what I'm hoping it is, because one of the others is starting to get darker)

2. The large cory is female and the others are males (hope not... that's a little unfair)

3. The large cory is sick (doubtful since it's a beast)

which one do you think it is, or am I completely missing something? ... I've also considered the idea that # 1 and 2 could both be true.

You could be right its a female and older, some of my Tri's vary in size and colour, and appear darker base colour, has long has its active and eating it should be ok :good:
By the way its better to have more males than females, the others may still be growing,it's very deceiving has i have a female thats spawned and shes smaller than the male

okay thanks. they are all eating and seem about as active as I have ever seen them so I won't worry. I've only had four of them for a month or so and I've had the another one about 4 months (but he's still smaller than the dark one) so I haven't really got a long timeline there so I guess we'll see in the coming months what's up.
