Mature Filter Media / Squeeze Please?

Hey all.

Going to be getting my new tank up and running at some point next week and was just wondering if anyone was willing to post out some mature filter media and/or a media squeeze of their's to me when im ready? Obviously i'd cover any costs!!

Be nice to have a little jump start on the whole fishless cycle but i checked the sticky and the only person fairly local to me (im from near Cardiff in South Wales) doesnt seem to have been on the forum for a while.

Where are you located Gary? I am a willing donor if you are close.
I have a link in my signature area to the donor list that might help you connect with a local donor. Local is better because less time is involved in shipping.

Thanks for the reply. I'm from South Wales, I did check the list on the sticky and there was only 1 person relatively close, but when I checked their profile they hadn't been online for a good while.

Is it not possibly to post this out then? I had just assumed it wouldn't have been too much of an issue if it was kept wet and squeezed into an old bottle/container of some sort.

It can indeed be sent by mail if you can find someone at no more than 2 or 3 days distant by mail. My own guess is that I would be more like 10 days from you. At the least, you are looking for someone in the UK and, depending on the mail system there, you may even be looking for someone in South Wales.

yep it can be posted (not ideal) I`d gladly donate but we`ve just set our tank up from scratch after moving house with a brand new filter.

It will likely be one day next week now, set up all the bits n bobs earlier and realised my filter was missing 2 of the parts so need to wait for them to show up now (good old eBay).
