mating hermits?

how do hermits crab mate? my 2 scarlet hermits might of. i have a picture if needed to help . i just want to if they did and if they did what do i do? thnx for any help

Well Bobby, when a man hermit loves a woman hermit very deeply.... I think their shells click
You more than likely saw one of the hermitts cleaning the other. It is my understanding that it is very difficult to get them to mate in captivity. If not and you end up with little shavers, congrats. Hope you have little shells on hand. You took a photo, I think thats illegal in most states.

lol. i took the photo cuz a first i thought he was switching shells.all i could see was there shells together and a leg sticking out.
