Alright just trying to gather a list of what stuff I need.

Please add what kind of equipment you would use to, i.e. Tunze, Hydor Koralia etc etc

The stuff at the top of the list is what I would get if I bought a used system from someone.

Do you have a budget? I'm only new to marine myself so can't offer much advise but some of those things (top-off controller, phosphate reactor) I wouldn't consider as necessities. What's the battery powered air pump for?

Some of that stuff will be for when I get down the road on this tank. Not to buy all at once. I'll accumulate the neccesities then start, then accumulate the optional stuff later.

can i ask what DI is? I take it that its something to do with a reverse osmosis system?

DI is another finer stage of filtration after RO, it stands for De-Ionising - takes TDS to between 0 & 1

RO purifys as much as it can but there are molecules smaller than water that gets by. The de-ionizing stage gets rid of the rest.

My responses are in caps lock, IMO if you live near an lfs that has a decent amount of stock, dont use live aquaria.

2 Hydor Koralia 3's (one on each side of the tank) I WOULDNT USE HYDOR KORALIAS IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A WAVE MAKER, USE SEIOS WITH THE SEIO WAVE CONTROLLER OR TUNZE WITH THE TUNZE WAVE CONTROLLER. KORALIAS DONT HAVE THEIR OWN CONTROLLER.

THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY RATHER THAN FOR THE FISHES SAFETY SINCE THIS CAN PREVENT FIRES.
