Marineland Outlet Valve

I have a marineland c-220 on my 35gal tank. The outlet is pretty open and does not provide much water circulation. Is there like a spray bar that can be easily fitted to it for better water movement?

Marineland doesn't offer a spray bar for the canisters, but I have seen a post (can't remember where right now) where the poster had bought another intake bar, caped the end and drilled holes in to make his own spray bar.  I believe he used a clamp to secure the modified intake to the existing elbow of the outlet.
