Marineland Emperor 280/400 owners

I'm not sure what you mean by bracket. The bio-wheel is seated into bearings, one on each side of wheel. Do you mean the measurement of the area that the bio-wheel sits? If you can be more specific I'd be happy to help you out. I have an Emperor 400. However, I'm not at home now so it would be at least 5 or 6 hours.

Hmmm... May be I'm mistaken? Doesn't the blue bearing sit on the bracket? If there are no brackets, then the measurement of the area where the biowheel sits is fine. Thanks.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing when we say bearings. I consider the bearings to be the points where the pins on either end of the bio-wheel rest. There is not blue on my bearings. The bio-wheel sits in an area measuring approximately 5 3/4 inches. The bio-wheel is 6 inches from pin to pin. The extra 1/8 inch on each side is the length of the pins. Why do you ask? Are you considering modifying one? Lemme know if I can be of more help.

Whoa, wait a minute. I just looked at my Penguin 125 and the pins on the biowheel are blue. I think I know what you're asking now. Yeah, the space is about 5 3/4". My measuring tape is in inches only so I can't give it to you in centimeters.
