Marine_whats Needed?

It all depends on what your aiming for. If your aiming for a tank with corals or if your aiming for a tank with fish only or if your aiming for a tank with fish with live rock.

I think the best thing anyone cay say is look through the recent journals that are just starting up - as they have all asked the same question, so you can see it there, and also gain some more knowledge while reading through.

FOWLR would need:

Tank (obviously - but have a think about what type of fish you want to keep and tailor the size to meet this)
Lighting - for FOWLR you can get away with T8 lights or T5s
Filtration - The live rock is your filter (just ensure you have enough of it - think there is a calculator on here somewhere)
Circulation - you need good turnover through your tank so that your live rock is efficient.
Heater

thats the big stuff.

you'll also need
Test Kits - Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate
Refractometer - to test the salinity
RO water
Salt
Fish Food

Thats it really.

You can make marines as difficult or as easy as you want.
Most important thing is to research ALOT, before you buy anything.

I have read nearly everyones journal on here. I was thinking about getting the orca 450, but is it too small for false percula clowns (small version). some say yes some say no. Thats the tank i really, really wanted! -_-

Whats everyones reccommendations?
