Yeah nothing to worry about on the yellow and red front - red is coraline, you can get different colours and the yellow is probably a form of algae, I have both in my tank :good:

The other white thing though, that is interesting, when you first said about it I thought, ah he has some sponges growing, but then I saw the photos and I'm now not sure  but they look really interesting - sure someone will identify them

You have a yellow banded maroon fish................ahhhh I want one!!

:fish:

yeah got him for a tenner no less at 3-4 inches

i THINK i have that white stuff in my tank too.. mine look exactly the same as yours but alot smaller.. it is about 1mm wide and 1cm in length.. i asked people about it and they said its just growth from the rocks.. nothing to worry about..

of course.. mine could be something else but hope this helps.. :D

oh and nice fish btw :DDDDDDDDDDDD

yeah i thought it was from the rock but dont know exactly what it is and yours will grow pretty quick

new title bump

by the way i mean the white stuff

yeah any one else

this is an antler sponge..one of the Leucosolenia family....like most sponges it is a sign of a nice mature, clean system..
In the pics i see small colonies of aiptasia anemones starting..these can reach plague porportions, stinging and destroying your corals if not kept in check..

yep the aptasia are taking over and i cant seem to get rid do you know of a all round poision that you just put in the tank

and well done on the id
