hi.. i have set up a marine aquarium in an aquastart 500 tank but was wondering what the best light combination was..i.e: marine blue, tropical, uv and sunlight? alos what fish would be the best to start with? any help would be much appreciated.
thanks.

hello stokey i personly use marine blue amd tropical but aither will do i find they bring the natural light look to a marine aquarium i do recomend upgrading to a Metal Halide or a T5 if you want to grow corals
your aquarium compacity is 65 litres around 14 - 15g thats a nano saltwater so you will be limited in fish choices but ive set up about 5 nanos some whitch were much smaller than yours i recomend
clown fish
dotty backs
damsiles (be cerfal what specis you get)
some basslets
gobies
chrois
sertan types of blenny
jaw fish
cardinal fish
fire fish
these are just a few different specis ive kept in nanos if you wnat any more suggestions or stocking plans just ask

:hi: back Stokey :good:

Your tank is very small but would make a lovely little tank with a small goby and shrimp combo or maybe an assessor, a hermit and zoa or ric garden.

Please dont keep clowns in it, it is far too small, in fact it is far too small for most fish, imho

Lighting combo would be all according to what you are going to keep?

clown fish will look happier in a bigger tank :good: i think my tank is only just bigger enough for a pair. imo. i would recommend a shrimp and goby pair. very interesting. i might get a pair when i upgrade.
