was just wondering i saw a few people here using it just wondered how they use it,

add correct dose to the whole tank or

dose a bit over the corals and anemones theremself ?

When using dead foods (I assume marine snow is one) it is important to target feeds corals, perhaps even with the flow shut off. Dead microfoods usually settle very quickly, leaving you with hungry corals and enough isopods to feed a billion mandarins.

It says on the instructions to keep the flow on (but turn particulate filtration off). I dose mine straight into the whole tank.

Lyden, I've been meaning to ask, but do you feed your corals with phytoplankton or other food sources, or do you not feed them at all? I have a DSB (well 2 really, one is in the sump) and get my algae scraper and drag it across the surface of the substrate. It only disturbs the top 5-10mm, but kicks up a lot of crap.

I've not fed my tube worm or scallop in weeks and everything seems to be doing fine (all apart from my sarcophyton toadstool which I think is PH related)

My corals are mostly leathers, which do not usually feed on visible matter. I do feed the palys pieces of shrimp, but everything else in the tank seems to be fed satisfactorily by the debris stirred up by the fish.

i would feed phyto-plankton since that is the bottom of the food chain, marine snow is in the middle AND marine snow is not live....
