I live near Redruth and have never known about a shop there.
There is a person on Ebay that i think is Redruth, sells a lot of Coral and live marine.
There is Trimar at Tuckingmill, near Camborne and Totally tropical at Pool.

Thanks nicolaisam, I'll have a look at ebay! Hopefully he'll be happy for collections!

I try to avoid trimar if I can and totally tropical aint bad, but his marine section is sooo small!

If you dont mind driving,Carnon downs are quite good,Its a Maidenhead Aquatics store.
Very Friendly and good staff.

I am not that keen on Trimar :D

out of interest what do you have against trimar?

have considered ordering from them in the past having heard good feedback about their delivery service

I've not had many good personal experiences with the staff. Back when I kept tropicals, before finding this forum, I was given so much bad advice by their staff, all of which apparently have many years experience and/or qualifacations to do with fish keeping. I lost my entire first lot of tropical stock.

Since Ive turned salty, again.. just bad advice, luckily I know better than to listen to them these days... but they're happy to sell anything to anyone, with no questions asked! I could easily walk in there, ask for a fully grown regal tang, and they wouldn't even make sure i knew it was saltwater, let alone ask what size tank i was planning to keep it in. (I know it may sound silly and you should know what water its kept in before buying, but, when I was planing my first tnak, I had no idea that there was fresh AND salt water tropical!!)
They only have one member of staff who has marine experience, and if you ask any other member of staff for marine advice, rather than say "i'm sorry, I'm not sure, if you come back on this day, our expert will be here" They will just have a wild guess, without telling you it was just a guess!

There stock, however, is usually ok. Tho I did go there yesterday to buy a firefish, and walked out again after I spotted 2 dead clowns and 3 other fish struggling to swim upright! Sorry for the rant :haha:

Nicolaisam... incase you're interested, I just managed to find the shop I was looking for! It's called Jasons aquatics, and its at 21 North Street, Redruth, Cornwall, TR15 1HJ. Going by his website, I think he only does dry goods, and corals tho.

Ok,

North street is up by the Fire station.Just around the corner from the Rugby club.I have tropical not Marine.

I have been into Trimar a few times recently,First time because i wanted another tank,They didnt seem to have any time to help me or put any effort in to a sale.Totally tropical were excellent and got the sale.
The second time was very recently(last week) i was looking for Apistogrammas,Theres were lifeless, colourless and looked Unhappy, one had a problem as he swam head up all the time. Also noticed other fish not looking very happy/lively.

They seem to have a good reputation though.
