Hi Guys, OK I have bought a 160L (35 uk G, 42 us G) Tank.

I have 2 x 150W halide lamps, 2 x 32W T5's, Eheim 2028 Filter, 2 x Power Heads. For the skimmer I have no Idea what to get and I can't have a sump :( can someone point me in the right direction. How much Live Rock, is 20kgs enough? Would more fit?

Also I want a reef system, so what fish would you guys also advise?

ta...

Live rock is usually stocked with half a kilo per 1 gallon. So you 20 kg should be ok. If you find you want more, get more, it wont cause any problems.

As for fish, there are plenty of clown types that would fit into your tank. Although tangs are very nice fish, they need tank of 100gal+ so i should stay away from them. Firefish are a good choice and the purple ones are really nice. With fish, it just depends on what you like,do a bit of research and if your tank is big enough and it wont cause problems in your reef tank then get one.

Wrasses, gobies, and psuedochromis are also good options for a tank this size. As for a skimmer, look into the TMC, Deltec, and Tunze lines of skimmers. TMC's (V2 200) are the most affordable yet still effective ones available in the UK. They will require some tweaking/fiddling for sure and may be troublesome for those not so mechanically inclined. Deltec ones (namely the MCE 300) are probably the best hang-on skimmer widely available in the UK. Cost a pretty penny but run very well. And if you want really top quality and internal, the Tunze 9002 would be a good option at a similar price point to the deltec.

Ok so I can setup a marine tank without having a sump, that is great, I was considering a couple of clowns and a wrasse and a few other small marine fish and inverts. I would have loved a Tang but looking into it my tank is too small. But baby, baby steps...

I would do your homework when thiunking about wrasse as some are not reef safe and are unpredictable and will nibble on coral.
