Marine Salt

You will get many answers but its a bit like "how long is a piece of string?". Its going to depend on many factors, like the size of peoples tanks, stocking, whether they use a protein skimmer or have a refugium. There are some people with huge tanks that haven't performed a water change in well over a year, and just add suppliments to the tank to replace trace elements that are absorbed by the corals.

Yea, like AK said, but i'll contribute anyways. I can't really count now because of the babies, but prior babies, I went through about 29lbs (13.2kg) of salt in about 26 months I would approx. That included my original filling up of the tank and sump though. I do have a sump and protein skimmer running, it's a 29 G.

i use 1 kilo per 25 liter jerry can.

one of these changed every week. 23kilo tub - 23 weeks :)
thanks ben :)
