Marina Lighting

Was given a marina tank on saturday and I have to say the lighting on it is less than rubbish. I have nothing in the tank and even at night when the room lights are off and the tank light is on its pitiful.

There's nearly as much of a glow off it as there is my girlfriends sunburn at the moment.

What can I do to sort it out?

I have a Marine Style 60 tank, And the lighting on it is quite good for a low-tech setup. Would love too see some pictures of what you mean? Sounds like somethings wrong.

Hi matt, will upload pictures this evening. I'm using my BB so I can't upload any at the minute.

Whilst I got the tank and all for free I can't complain, its just that I would like a decent light for plants. Its a 3ft tank. Not sure what model it is though.
