Marble Girl Changing Colour

my marble pk girl is kinda acting a bit strange colour wise.

she started out dark coloured and about 3 months ago (when she was about 4 months old) she doveloped a white patch on her haed and this spread until she was almost completely white with clear fins and a bit of marbling here and there. but the past couple of days she has been seeming to put on more colour and has what look almost like breeding stripes, dark bands of colour on her and a bit along her back. its sort of grey, and not solid colour, like freckels, mabey every secon scale if you know what i mean. il need to get a pic but il show a pick taken a couple of weeks ago and a modified one of roughly how she looks now.

any ideas?

Marbled bettas are extremely well known to change colours!

hes going paler in patches and has a few more changes yet!

so is it fair to say that most marbles get darker as they get older? ive seen a couple of other marbles of mine do this

i dunno i have heard of marbles turning paler as they get older too...
its just the way the genetics in marbles work...
although what your describing ive seen on AB as tiger's:s

I think marbles go eather way, there is no set colour change as they get older and the only thing you will know for sure about marbles is that they will never stay the same

yupp marbles are just extremely random, a lot of breeders dont like to work with them because their colors are so inconsistent and very very hard to solidify

EEEErm you don't solidify marbles.... if they want solids they breed solids....

Marbles are marbles they change... nothing will change that... this has confused me!

lol yea solid markins are hard to get on marbles as they are...marbled. I can't really understand whay so many are against the marble colouring, i think is wonderfull that you never know how they will have changed one day to the next. I think they are underated lol

MARBLE: The marble betta has markings that are similar in appearance to a Pinto horse. Two types of Marbles exist, the Traditional Marble which is a dark bodied fish with a white head or face, and the Colored Marble which may have many other colors than just the Black/Flesh combination. They are also available in yellow marble, red marble, multicolor marble, and many other combinations. Though Cellophane is sometimes considered to be a genetic Marble variant, it is not classed as a Marble phenotypically. The fins and the body must show at least two colors. These must include a light and dark color mix. Fish exhibiting sharp 'edges' to the Marbling pattern are preferred over those with blended colours. 'Piebald' bettas also fall in the marble category, and are solid or marbled bettas with pale heads/faces. Marbles are beautiful and interesting, but subject to change without notice. Breeding marble to marble will usually give you some marbles, some solids, some cellophanes, and some butterflies. Any of these colors may change in a matter of weeks to become fully marbled, or lose their marble pattern to become solid or cellophane.
