Maracyn...

is it normal for maracyn to cloud water? I woke up this morning and my 3 swordtails had finrot and my whiptail cat had body fungus. I ran out and got some maracyn. moved them in to a 10 gallon quaratine tank and added the medicine. the water now smells like penicillin which I expected but it has also become very cloudy. is that normal?

I haven't personally used maracyn to date. IME, all medications seem to cloud or color the water. CM would have more information on this as he uses maracyn to treat with. I would ask him but I ask him everything.

Ya Tanked, when we used Maracyn the first time it gave us a bit of a scare, we thought we did something wrong, but the water cleared up in a couple of days after the treatment was done.

maracyn will sometimes cloud the water. also have to watch for some meds, like clout, they will turn the silicone in the tank a blue green. can tell which tank i use for hospital, has blue silicone in it.
