Maracyn-Two dosage

Know I saw somewhere a dosage scale for Maracyn Two but cant find it. I came in to discover Horizen with a hole in his fin and slight curling. So I bought the Maracyn Two tablets and want to make sure the dosage reccomended on the box is ok for my betta men. It says 2 per 10 gallons on the first day which would be half a tablet in my 2.5 gallon. Following days 1 tablet per 10 gallons so 1/4 of one in mine.
Has anyone used the dosages before and can verify they are ok? I dont want a situation like BettaMommas with the Melafix.

Also it says use with a hospital tank is reccomended, since I recently dropped and cracked mine is it safe to use in their every day home as long as I give a 100% water change after the 5 day treatment?

Quick Medication Dosing Tip - Since most medication dosing directions are meant for larger tanks and some medications come in tablet or capsule form, it can be difficult to dose a small container. There is a trick to doing this.

If your medication calls for one capsule to 10 gallons, grab a small container that can hold water. using a measuring spoon, measure out 10 teaspoons or tablespoons full of water into the container (it doesn't matter which you use as long as you use the same unit of measurement the whole way through). Dump the capsule or crush the tablet into the measured water. Then dispense the medicated water into your isolation container - if it is a 1 gallon container, one teaspoon/tablespoon will be the correct medication dosage. This method works for any size treatment container, just be aware that most medications lose effectiveness after 24 hours in water so you will have to discard any unused medication using this method.

Oh by the way is it ok to add salt as well with the Maracyn? Sorry for all the questions but my last little man died when he got sick so Im worried and desperate to help him lol.

Should be fine, also can add melafix with it, treat the inside with maracyn 2 and melafix treats the outside of the fish, good luck.

For the Maracyn Two, in a 2.5G tank, the first day it's 1/2 a tablet, then after that it's 1/4 tablet per day. What I do is fold the hunk of tablet inside a piece of paper or napkin, then crush it using the big end of a knife or hammer or something - then I take a small cup and get a teeny bit of tank water in the cup, then dump in the crumbles of tablets, swoosh them around til they're dissolved and then dump em in! It's slick.

The water will get yellow with M2. I usually do a water change on about day 3.
