Hi. I'm quite new to the marine world. I have a soft piece of rock with a load of holes in them. I noticed a small shrimp like creature sitting in one. It comes out and wanders round the rock and shoots off a tremendous speed back to it's retreat. It's only about 2 1/2 centimeters and grey in colour, I think it's a baby mantis shrimp.
I have heard these can pulverise your stock of fish and crabs, how do I get rid. I don't want to kill it.
The rock is really easy to get at and I can remove it when the little beggar is inside. I don't want to destroy it.
Does any body know who takes these in or how you can get rid humanely?
