Mantis Shrimp Id Please

Hi,

I believe I have a Mantis Shrimp, It came in on a piece of LR I bought, I managed to remove the piece of rock he was hiding in and used the freshwater dip method to catch him. (he came out straight away!).

Anyway heres a pic, anyone know what type he is?

is it dead? if not try and sell him might get a good amount for him. but id say close to a peacock mantis but not sure tbh im glad u got the bugger out of there though

No he's still alive.

Tough to tell from the picture, but if its a real colorful one, it might be worth some cash.

Hey SkiFletch,

Well he is not very colourful to be honest, the flash on my camera has made him look a bit better, but to the naked eye hes a browny/red color all over.

I thought the photo was quite good!

That's my guess. However, i believe their colours vary depending on where abouts in the water column they've been living I believe.

And if you want to post him, i'll take him off your hands
