ok my plakat fry are 9 weeks old probably stunted too, poor poor bettas...

ok but they are about this big --------------- and still cant tell if they are male or female...

help?

9 weeks eh, seem to be about teh right size to me -_- you'll notice soon enogh infant, they will mature soon and the change in aggression will be evident among the fish. good luck

Females are more blunt through body shape, while males are longer and more slender.

At 9 weeks, it's not really easy to tell. But it can be done. Males should be having longer fins by now than their sisters (unless they are Plakats). Don't rely simply on whether or not they have an ovipositor...males at this age seem to have a little white spot under their belly all too often. Males should also have more pointed anal fins at this age, whether they are Plakat or longer-tailed.
