Male Or Female

i have a betta that is aggresive like a male and small like a female but also has two strips going from head to tall. is it male or female and is it a betta i've never seen one with stripes like this before?

get us a picture and we can help you out alot better. the stripes are probably stress stripes though.

The two stripes would say it's a female, males dont show these marking's.

Course a pic dose help more.

the stripes do sound like stress stripes. look for an ovipositor near the ventral fins. it should look like a white dot. if it has one, it's a female

males show both verical and horizontal though not to the extent females do. vertical are seen more im young males and horizontal would say your male is very stressed.
