I've read old posts on male green sailfin mollies, and have read that he should really have a harem!!1 but everywhere I look they only sell sailfins as pairs, even online they only sell them as pairs,

Could I buy just ordinary molllies so my Mrs G Sailfin gets a minutes peace, she's currently hiding away from him by the heater or in the plants at the top of my tank, was concerned cause I thought she was ill, but think it's because everytime she moves he's nudging her and pushing her, bless her she only had fry a week ago and I don't blame her if she can't be bothered with him.

Water Tests are normal and she's poohing and eating normally, no sign of parasites, no white spots.

Any ideas?

Another option is lots of cover for the female to avoid the male's attentions and move her to her own tank after you are satisfied that they have bred. I buy livebearers as trios or pairs and never seem to have much trouble with them but I do not hesitate to remove a female that is being harassed by the male. Once you have a colony of younger and older fish, the ratio becomes much less important.
