Alright, so I have a ten gallon, and I have 3 rasboras, 1 loach, , 1 clown pleco, and one female betta (not doing well - nearing the end of her life). I also have a male betta in a floating breeding trap. I was wondering if I could let him into the tank after the female has died? There was one incident where a rasbora jumped into the breeding trap with the male betta, but he did not even touch the rasbora. So, what do you think?

minus the female betta you would be ok, i dont see any problems :)

didn't you post the same quest here before, it all sounds very familiar... -_-

what is worng with the female betta??and how old is she?
did you but the male to put in the trap?
i think he would be fine but keep a very close eye on him for afew days.At the first sighn of nipping take him out and get him his own little 1gallon tank.not the breeder trap

i would say you could cuz a friend of mine kept 2 males in a ten gal for a long time an never had any trouble.

somethingfishy, your female betta has done all right with the rasboras? I ask because I was contemplating a harlequin/female betta tank but wasn't sure if it was doable or not. I don't want to traumatise either group :)

Ya my betta has done fine with them, I haven't had any troubles.

I think my female is just dying of old age, I've had her awhile.

Thanks for the help guys, I hated keeping my male in that breeding trap, its nice to know that I can let him go soon!
