Malaysian Trumpet Snails

Hey guys,
Been doing some reading on Malaysian trumpets and I'm finding mixed opinions- Pest? or Clean up crew? I have a newly cycled malawi tank with a sandy substrate and I'm wondering if it's worth getting a bunch of these snails.

Some people see them as pests.
I wouldn't rely on them as a clean up crew but they do dig through the sand & keep it aerated in a way, so I think they're useful.
Will let you know as I've bought some

Yeh I find them as good airiaters although I consider them pests I have them to air my sand lol its complicated lol
