I have just changed over my fish to a larger tank and my trumpet snails seem to be dying. I cleaned it thoroughly before moving the fish and the snails over so there shouldn't have been anything on the tank that would harm them. I got a piece of bogwood from a tank that already had mts in so it can't be that, and the water and everything else is the same as in the previous tank. The only thing that is different is the temperature, the temperature got quite high while the tank was infront of the window before it was moved and is currenlty at about 28C. Could that be it? Help, I really love my snails and don't want to lose them!

The fish themselves are fine, happy as larry!

Thanks
Aylana

I only used a very small amount of disinfectant designed for aquariums and then rinsed out thoroughly and then scrubbed it with warm water and sponge. I was very careful not to use anything or leave traces that might be harmful to the fish.

Thanks for replying.
