I plan on making my own scenery for aquascaping my tank. I wanna use some different combos of drift wood and rocks etc. If I wanted to attach these piece (say a rock to a piece of wood) is hot glue safe to use in a tank? or should i use a silicone or something? Thanks in advance.

Aquascaping site.

Silicone sealant is best but make sure it is one that can be used in aquariums and underwater. Your lfs probably carries some. Make sure to let the sealent cure overnight (at the very least) before adding the attached pieces into your tank.

I have some polished rocks. Are these safe to use in an aquarium? they dont appear to have any laquer (sp?) or anything on them but i dont know if anything was used in the polishing process (oils etc) I can post pics if this would help. =] TIA
