We have just started a new term, and I plan to make a cave (3 compartments) out of wood, with a little bit on top to put plants in. Would it be worth risking because some gay people at my school might put their name on it in paint, or it could get paint off a table. I will be using a hot glue gun (its a secondary school so I guess child safe). Or I could use screws. My teacher said i'd have to coat it in something aswell, wich I knew, but dunno what. Do you have any ideas as to what to make for my aquarium as apposed to my idea? Preferably a cave style idea. I can only use wood, screws, hot glue gun, peices of dowel that fit the wood together. Well pretty much any woodwork, but no silicone or stuff like that. Your ideas would be great!

Why can't you use silicone? You an use brass screws also... alot of people use brass screws to mount their driftwood onto slate.

I think it would be to heavy to float. Now I think of it, the wood will be really thick and it will just look a mess in my tank, i'm having second thoughts about what I want to do.
