Hi

I have a special clip for holding, lettuce leaves but this doen't always work for courgettes or cucumber.

I want something that will make it sink to the bottom of the tank and stay there. I had jammed my planting stick in the courgette and this kept it on the bottom until my Oto's had eaten half of it, the rest broke off and floated to the top.

How does everyone else do this?

I use the small weights that you get with your bunched plants to sink cucumber and other Vegetables. :)

Cool - didn't think of that - Thanks

Whilst we are on it - how do you feed the shelled peas to the fish - surely these will float too.

I cook them as you would for human consumption and just shell them and drop them in, sink fine. :)

I have found a great way to feed your fish cucumber etc, All you do is get your magnetic algae cleaner, The one that has two bits, Use the bit that has the string attached. Place the piece of cucumber on the back of it and wrap the string around the magnet sinking the string a little into the cucumber, then put it into the tank and move it into position with the other part as you would if you were cleaning the tank.

I like it - two for the price of one you can clean your tank whist you are feeding
LOL

get a rubber band and strap it around a rock or something that will work. :D

Daveo :flex:

what i do is i use skewers with cucumber or lettuce on it and i just stick it in to the gravel or wood. It works perfectly and the cucumber is gone the morning after.
