hi all i have got my self an acrylic cylinder but it was not ment to be used as a tank and the bottom has just been glued on. i have bort some HA6 RTV marine silicone now what i wonted to no is wood you just run a bead round the botton as it is or remove the bottom and reseal it.i no it wood be easier to buy a tank but i do like this cylinder thanks

You actually need acrylic weld, not silicone. You would need to remove the bottom, and clean old glue off. Then weld them together.

heres a good guide for making a tank theres several parts just follow the rest in the side row hope it helps

Silicone does not adhere to acrylic, which is why you have to use welded acrylic.
