I have decided to go to the nearest glass shop to request him to make a tank for me. Any suggestion, or what should I consider while assembling such tanks?

My initial idea is for the following size, any suggestions?
Width = 30"
Length = 12"
Height = 18"
VOLUME = 28 Gallons

If you ask me the question, how many and what fish, I am not yet prepared for that details, but I will make sure to follow the rule 1" per Gallons.

Thank you,

If you go to your local glass shop, and ask them to make it, then I think they will either not do it or it will cost more than buying one from the lfs as custom tanks always are more expensive than "off the shelf tanks". if you want to make it your self, then the glass shop should be able to supply the glass, which I'd use 8mm for a tank that size.

Here is my new tank 60 x 40 x 45 cm = 28 gl

Today I transferred the fish, water and gravels from the old small tank...

The only logical reason I think someone should custom build a fish tank is if they need it to fit perfectlly into a specific place, or, the want a RELLY large tank (200g+)

I just dont see why someone would custom build one, price is higher, risks are higher, the only think lower is the quality in most cases.

i was given a 2.5ft by 1ft tank the bottom is plastic with a half circle moulded into it... looks very interesting actually.... ok but my problem is the bottom leeks.... so i siliconed it inside and out l;et it dry for 2 weeks.... filled it and now it has a smaller but steady leek... should i try silliconing it aagin from the inside or go out and get a peice of glass.... which i can get for $12 Australian.... do i do it myself or ask the glass guy to do it?... how much do you think it will cost?? (poor uni student needs cheap advice) :(
