Does anyone have experience with these? are they any good?

One of the best IMO. Certainly when you consider price.

The Magnum offers 100% filtration, and offers the user more options for using medias. It is also, as far as I know, still the only common canister that can convert to a micron filter for water polishing.

IF you can get a good deal on one, you won't be dissappointed.

I have two. One in my 55gal with a bio-wheel 60,& I am setting up the other for my 75 gal which isn't up & running yet. IMO they are a great filter for the money & at 350 gph you can't beat them. You can also hook them up to bio-wheels to add wet/dry biological to the mix. I have never been sorry I bought them.

I have a question to add...just in case I need it for future for whatever reason. Are they quiet? I have an Eheim and it was dead silent when it was new although I think the impellor may be getting worn....so I know its not going to live up to the Eheim reputation....but how quiet/loud is it? Louder than the other canisters? Quieter than a HOB? I find those types of filters annoying.
