Hi,

I have read somewhere that highe magnessium levels can help reduce algae growth.

Looking at several different supplements and books they recommend keeping levels at anything betweem 1200 to 1500.

What do people keep their levels at? How does this affect a reef tank set up?

Thanks

Its stability thats more important imo. Keep it the same as natural sea water and mainatain all your params as close to them as possible and with the right light SPS will grow fast enough. LPS corals are slower growers and softies mag doesnt matter as much anyway. You can always feed LPS to make them grow quicker.
