Magna-float Question

I just bought me a mag-float algea scrub, just wondering if I can just leave it in the tank, will it have any effet on the tank?

Loads of people leave theirs on the tank glass, some people take them out. It's personal preference I think. personally I take my algae magnet out as it looks a bit unsightly.

I leave mine in, it's started to build up a bit of algae on it (as it's right at the water line) but most of the fish like to nibble on it. Yum.

As Fella said, it's personal preference.
