Maggots

My son wa given some maggots a while back to go with the Fishing gear he got for Christmas, he hasn't been much and they are starting to go off (turning red and smelly!).

Can i use them as fish food? or not.......

6 week old maggots!!!!!! If i were you id get rid of them quick and dont even think about feeding them to your fish. If they havent hatched into flies yet then i would think they are pretty much dead and rotting inside and believe me nothing smells as bad as rotting maggots

Yup - apparantly they did smell - but the wife did say the maggots smelt better than my feet - charming!
