check valve (£1)
air tube (£2)
airstone (£35p)

3/4 tsp yeast
3/4 tsp baking soda
2 cups sugar (approx.)
fill bottle till it start to curve with warm water

i shook it good, set it up, and well, i was detaching airstone and it broke =(

if your planning on using an airstone your wasting your time. buy one of these for efficient diffusion

heya!

day 2 of my homemade co2!

all is going well, i detached the pipe at night, becuase plants release co2 etc etc, but is there a way to preserve this co2? its a good 10 hours worth of co2 being wasted =(

ive also got it going into the UGF powwer head so he bubbles are tiny, this is blown onto the inbuilt power head, and the bubble to a complete circuit of the tank, possibly more :D

help appreciated!

and thanks :D

am i right in thinking that you have to fill the bottle again with yast, sugar, water etc every day??- also how do you control how much goes into your tanka and do you take it away at night?- sorry for hijacking the thread

tis fine ;) glad to help

should last for 2weeks + people say mate!

and i have placed cotton wool in the tube, so its the occasional co2 bubbles going into the tank!

i have 2 DP's and they are dandy! i switch it off at night though :)

it will last one week at maximum performance, more than that and the production tails off

ANY IDEA ON SAVING CO2 AT NIGHT?

sorry for caps

keep the co2 in at night, most people do. its with pressurized that people don't for fear that they may overdose. its harder to overdose with diy co2. plus, the buildup of co2 will give the plants a good amount in the morning when the lights come on.
