After spending some time messing around with using my macro lense in the video mode to getgood close-ups i finally got it working. I was quite happy with the results even though they aren't crystal clear.

Stinging Hydroids in my mantis tank (about 2.5mm across)

Amphipods amongst the algae in my mantis tank (about 2mm)

A single Amphipod crawls over my tube anenome (about 2mm)

Is this classed as a copepod or amphipod?.. about 1-1.5mm

These guys are tiny, the biggest of the 2 was less than 1mm across which is why i found it so hard to focus on them...

Dude, just awsome.

Your the first person who ive seen has the same bugs as I do (the last of your videos). They are minute, and I cant find an ID. I was going to chuck some under a microscope at Uni if I go in over the holidays.

As for Copepod/Amphipod, my first guess was Copepod, but im just gonna stick with micro-invertebrate! :p Hehehe

Top stuff. Care to share your camera info?

You have those things too Mr Miagi? I've got em EVERYWHERE. Every time I clean my glass its a mass killing of them but they always grow back

ive got em too lol. mine are smart though as they go in my mag float for cover and are small enough so they dont get sploshed

Lol, Ive had those copepods emerge in every tank ive set up so far (6 in total, 4 currently running)..

They are also in my FOWLR. They seem to go down well with the recent Dart fish I bought though, busted him picking at them. Nice vids. :good:
