Hi everyone I just thought I'd share my enthusiasm  so yesterday I ordered some dry fertilizers some magnesium sulfate potassium sulfate and potassium nitrate so I can dose with macros because I havent been doing that. I've had so many problems with my plants but I hope that now with adding micros and macros it will solve the problem because i think its a potassium deficiency. I also got higher wattage lights so I can start adding carpet plants because I fell in love with the baby tears as son as I saw it. I have my Co2 also. I'm just waiting for my fertz and light to arrive. would anybody know how much of each macro i should add together and mix. A good macro mix I can make? Any help would be appreciated and is there anyway I can better improve my tank and plants????

In most cases increasing light intensity only promotes the growth of algae as co2 and nutrients are not matched to the new lights.

The biggest factor in healthy plant growth is co2 and nutrients, not increased light intensity.

The more light a plant receives the more co2 and nutrients are required, if this demand is not met the plant will suffer.

If you want a healthy carpet effect you have to ensure co2 distribution is excellent, this involves having good water flow through out the tank.

If your using EI salts this is a good starting mix.
