I'm setting up a now empty tank for a lurker puffer and am just spoilt for choice with what to go for.

It's a toss up between T. miurus, T. suvatti, M. baileyi. I can get my hands on all 3 of them and I just don't know what to do.

I love the miurus and the baileyi is a good looker. The OH loves the baileyi more but I am stumped. I have a very handsome but fully grown baileyi I can have but would love a smaller puff that gets used to me as it grows up. Wildwoods have the suvatti and the miurus and I'm off up there on Saturday to have a good stare at them.

Is there anyone out there who owns one of these puffs and can sway me at all? :hey:

I've only read up on them hon when considering options way back but I have to say I love the mirius. They are the most hard and beautiful variation of coloured puffs I have seen and think you would absolutely adore one! The other two are nice as well though think the suvattis look a tad grumpy all the time  I dont think there are any major differences in the way you keep them and hope you will share pics when you decide who you go for (as always extremely jealous) all of those puffs are beautiful.

Go for gsp! you wont regret it, i love my little puff, so many choices regarding tank setup and water conditions with them too..

I did look at mirus, mainly becuase of the colour, some of the reds are unbeliveable, but, i was put off with the fact that they may not do all that much lol.

good luck with your quest! :)

sure u'll fill that empty tank in no time.

 @ Adam!

I am not going for a gsp as I can't guarantee having a tank big enough for it when it outgrows this spare one. I know the 180L will be free one day but no idea how long my lovely goldies will live for.

I have studied up on the lurkers til it all comes out my ears and have even started dreaming about them so it's probably going to be either miurus or baileyi really. Like I say, the baileyi I have seen is simply stunning but I want to hold out and see if I can get a smaller miurus - hopes are pinned on Wildwoods but I am sure Terry Jnr at Wholesale Tropicals could get me one :D
I got the tank painted up last night and the sand is in. The filters are running in other tanks to keep them ticking over and I have plenty of rocks and plants to take from one of my miriad of tanks
I know I won't sleep tonight!

I ended up managing to get a Congo puffer at Wildwoods today :D

Can you see him?
