My glomat starter is doing my head in, its so tempremental. Im considereing a overhead luminair, that way i can put all my tubes in it (4 tubes one 20w 4 18w) and still be able to get into my tank. At the moment its like a military expercise everytime i want to get into it.

What size luminaire will i need for a 81 x 36 x 50 cm tank and will i still need to use a starter with it? (most ive seen hold 3 tubes?)

check your PM actually I just found one better than what i gave in the PM its a t5 power compact, I don't think it uses a starter,http/www.aquatics-online.co.uk/catalogue...er-t5-lamps.asp4x t5 tubes 80cm one you want but it's 203quid (32inch)
