Lucky's tail is still growing back very well - there's no problems with that at all.
Now, it's his other fins. They're starting to shred a little bit and I don't know if it's because he's been a big freak lately and just wigging out about EVERYTHING, or if it's because I wasn't doing water changes as often as I should have been. The last one was 5 days since the one before. He's in a 1G tank with a teeny little bubble drip. I came in yesterday and did a 100% change as soon as I saw the condition of his fins. I'm going to do another 100% change today. He's also getting stress coat and salt.

He seems a lot less freaked out today than he was yesterday before his water change. He is in a 1G container - is it safe for me to assume that these issues are probably just cuz of the (not frequent enough) water changes? He's also got that black stuff on his sides (the stuff that was in that one post about how when their water quality is crap, then they get into the better water quality the black stuff shows up under their scales)...

I'm not even close to an expert but from all I've learned the past few weeks, the water change thing would be my first guess. I think you're doing just the right thing to reverse it though. Hopefully he'll turn around with the extra attention you're giving him now. It's gotta be hard keeping up with all those water changes when you get busy at work!

Yeah - I totally slacked off of them because it seemed like everything was going perfectly with his tail growin back so fast, and with Six, his rays are absolutely perfect. I'm so mad at myself, but I thought I was doing the right thing - and not to mention that Lucky still kind of freaks out when he gets a water change so I thought less stress.

Uugh. I wish they could talk.
